The Tower of Babel, painting by Dutch artist Pieter Bruegel known as the Elder, made in oil on wood panel 114 cm high and 155 cm wide, came into existence in 1563. It is now located in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Unambiguous inspiration for creation of the work was Tower of Babel motif from biblical Book of Genesis as a symbol of disagreement between people.
